Annapurna Base Camp Trek (19 Days)
Annapurna Base Camp Trek require more sportive and good physical condition. This is a popular trekking trail in Annapurna region provide you beautiful landscapes, settlements and spectacular scenery of mountains.
The trail goes gradually climb up by passing several Gurung villages familiar with their vibrant cultures and variation of the tropical forests as Pine forest, Bamboo, oak and rhododendron. Finally, you will touch heart of Annapurna Sanctuary where you can view 360 degrees Annapurna mountains.
The 11-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek itinerary is designed for trekkers who would like to trek to the base camp of Annapurna but are restricted time-wise. If we prefer to reach the Annapurna base camp in a more relaxed manner then, Annapurna Sanctuary Trek – 14 Days would be more appropriate.
Best Season
Autumn (Sept to Nov) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some alone time with nature then taking this trip during winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) could also be an option. However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests. Trekking in the Summer or Monsoon seasons(June to Aug) will be affected by rain but the Summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m]
You will be welcomed by the representative of company at Tribhuvan International Airport .After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with ours company display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu sightseeing.
Full day of sightseeing in the very famous capital, Kathmandu.We will be visit the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu.
Morning:
We will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people.We begin to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants.
We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together.
We will make a stop at Thahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples.Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole.After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square.
All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming.We will take lunch at the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view .
Afternoon.
You will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets.Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world.
From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the sunset.We will come back hotel by bus.
Evening: Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Kathmandu- Pokhara.
After breakfast, Six hours drive through Prithvi highway, we reach to pokhara.Evening we will have the pleasure of Mt machhapuchre and its shadow in Phewa lake.it takes 6 hours. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Pokhara-Naya Pul – Tikhedhunga.
Morning-After having breakfast, Trek drive from Pokhara to Naya Pul and trek start to Tikhedhunga (2073meters). Today, we begin to drive to Naya Pul, it takes one hour drive from Pokhara. After 20-minutes walk along the Modi stream, we reach at Birethanti – a beautiful village that has plenty of tea shops and guest houses. We then follow the left route through the village. Our trek will continue heading to Tikhedhunga following the bank of the Burungdi stream. We climb up to the valley of Hile (1495 meters) and Tikhedhunga (1525 meters). 3 hour by walk from Birethanti.

Day 05 : Tikhedunga –Ghorepani.
Morning,have breakfast,then trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2856 meters).Today’s The trail leads steep up to Gorepani (2800 meters), a large beautiful Magar village, by passing huge stairs way of the stone. Ghorepani, one of the popular destinations of Annapurna region situated at an altitude of 2856 meters. Our trek gently ascends up to Banthanti (2250 meters) through Oak and rhododendron forest. Lunch at Nangethanti(2460m) one hour continue ascending towards Ghorepani. It takes 6hrs.

Day 06 : Ghorepani – Tadapani.
Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2625 meters). Today, Early morning, Climb up to Poon Hill (3210 meters) early in the morning to see the panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal more than dozen Himalayan ranges as well as sunrise over the Himalayas. Experiencing the great views of Himalayan range from Poon Hill, we descend to Ghorepani. After breakfast, continue downhill trek to Tadapani (2625meter). The trail goes a long the ridges of rhododendron and pine forest till the Tadapani. Lunch stop at Banthanti and 2 hours continue walk till Tadapani. It takes six hours walk.

Day 07 : Tadapani – Chhomrong.
Morning- after breakfast, trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020 meters).Today’s trail descends to Kimrong stream through the forest of rhododendron. We then walk towards Chhomrong crossing through the Gurjung village. Chhomrong offers you close views of Mt. Annapurna south and Hiunchuli and the virgin peak, Fishtail (Machhapuchchhre).Lunch and camp at once. It takes five hours walk.

Day 08 : Chhomrong – Dovan
Morning-we have our breakfast, Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan(2600) . today, we descend to Chhomrong stream and again climb up to Dovan crossing through silent rhododendron and bambo forest.Lunch stop at Bambo and one hour continue walk to Dovan. It takes 5 hours walk.

Day 09 : Dovan – Deurali.
Morning-as usual we have our breakfast, then trek from Dovan to Deurali(3200 meters). Today, we climb to Deurali through the rhododendron and bamboo forest. The place located on the ridge of Hinko Cave.Trekkers was used to stay in this cave since 1986.An accident occurred in 1992 then established lodge in Deurali. It takes four hours walk.

Day 10 : Deurali – Annapurna Base Camp.
After breakfast, trek from Deurali to Annapurna base camp(4130 meters).This route is carried out risk of avalanche specially in spring and summer season. The paricipants should be more carefull than usal route in this area. Today, The trek begins with climb to Machhapuchhre base camp (3700 meters). We will stop for the Lunch in MBC and two hours continue walk to Annapurna base camp. The area is surrounded by the mountains and is known as Annapurna Sanctuary. This place gives you an spectacular view of Himalayas including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Singa chulu(known as Fluted Peak), Tent Peak (known as Tharpu Peak), Barah Shikhar and as well as Machhapuchhre. It takes 6 hours walk.

Day 11: Annapurna Base Camp – Bambo.
Morning- after breakfasts, trek come back from Annapurna to Bambo. Today we trek back to Bambo with the remembrance of Annapurna south and the giant Himalayan peaks. Lunch at Himalaya(2900m). 2.5 hours need to descend to Bambo. It takes 7 hours walk.

Day 12: Bambo – Jhinu hill
Today, after breakfast, trek from Bambo to Jhinu Hill. Today, we climb to jhinu hill, there we will take bath at natural hot water spring and take rest.Lunch stop at Chhumrong and continue one hour descend to Jhinu Hill. it takes five hours walk.

Day 13: Jhinu Hill – Tolka.
Morning-we take our breakfast, trek from Jhinu Hill to Tolka(1700 meters). Today our trek leads to another beautiful village of this region, known as Tolka crossing through Landruk. Still, you will have great views of Mt. Annapurna South and Hiunchuli along with your way.Lunch stop at Tolka. It takes 5 hours walk.

Day 14 : Tolka – Dhampus.
Morning-after breakfast, trek from Tolka to Dhampus (1500 meters).Today starts with steps climbing through the forest until Deurali. Deurali gives you nice views of Pokhara valley on the south and the Annapurna range on the north.Lunch stop at Pothana then 30 Min. descend to Dhampus, another beautiful Gurung village. It takes four hours walk.Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 15 : Dhampus to Phedi and drive back to Pokhara,
After breakfast, Today is our Final day, we complete our trek as we descend to Phedi then drive back to Pokhara. Afternoon we take rest in the hotel near to lake.

Day 16 : Exploring Pokhara valley,
Morning-we take our breakfast, then we will visit most of the popular destination of Pokhara including David’s fall (Patale Chango), Mahendra Cave, World Peace Stupa, and join boating at Lake Phewa. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu.
Morning-after having our breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu. It takes 6 hours by tourist bus.Transfer you to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 18: Kathmandu sightseeing and shopping
After breakfast, we will take local bus to go Pashupatinath. it takes 40 minutes then we visit Pashupatinath. This temple, classified in the heritage of the UNESCO, is very famous among the Hindus of the whole world. We discover the ghats where take place in the rituals of cremation, according to Hindu tradition, along the sacred river Bagmati. This river throwing itself into the Ganges, a cremation in this place get the same symbolic value as in Varanasi. Stakes and bodies are orientated northward, towards the Himalayas, which is the cradle of the Hindu Gods. Don’t take pictures: meditate simply some minutes in the sense of this earth life, and impregnate you with this ambience, so strange according to our Western values.
The access to the Golden temple is only reserved for the Hindus, but it is possible to discover it on the bank of opposite, easy sat on one of the terraces. Both footbridges which cross this river allow to achieve a big series of stone terraces, adorned with dozens sanctuaries of Shiva. We will cross there surely numerous sadhus.

This large esplanade is encircled with many shops and thirty Tibetan monasteries with marvelous gilding. Let’s make turn at pleasure mills, the smallest and the biggest! Which extraordinary vision to see all these believers, young people and old, turning continuously around imposing stupa, by singing mantras, by lighting lamps with oil, and by prostrating itself.
This Stupa, of 100 meters of circumference, was undoubtedly constructed at origin in the 7th century. This huge mandala is of an absolute favor. The dome whitened persistently in the lime constitutes the plinth of the gold arrow (to 13 degrees) adorned with the fabulous eyes of Buddha. Everything makes an absolute harmony.
It is possible to enter inside the surrounding wall of the Stupa and to walk on one of the terraces.
We take lunch in Boudhanath, on the terrace of a panoramic restaurant, with plunging view on the Stupa and you will be again fascinated by the eyes of Buddha which encircle you at all times! Here is a celestial environment for you!

- An experienced English-speaking trek leader (trekking guide), assistant trek leader (4 trekkers: 1 assistant guide) and Sherpa porters to carry luggage (2 trekkers:1 porter) including their salary, insurance, equipment, flight, food and lodging.
- All necessary paper work and permits (National park permit, TIMS)
- A comprehensive medical kit.
- All government and local taxes.
The price does not include:
- Nepal Visa fee (bring small denomination US Dollar cash and two passport photographs)
- International airfare to and from Kathmandu.
- Excess baggage charges.
- Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu(and also in the case of early return from the mountain than the scheduled itinerary).
- Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
- Travel and rescue insurance
- Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, extra porters, bottled or boiled water, etc)
- Tips for guides and porters
Note: All participants have to give a copy of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don’t cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Assemble Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
In The trek the guide is allowed to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and the physical condition of participants. Each participant who stop his trek or make changes any form of program may not ask any amount of money compensation to the agency.
