Timal Village Trek (10 Days)

Nepal is rich in different culture,tradition,and natural beauty.there are hundreds of hidden places which are to be explored and that can be ultimate destination for the tourism. One of them is Timal.Timal lies in the kavre district,which carry tamang history.It is believe that,Timal was a Tamang kingdom very earlier.there was a king named Rinjen Dorje.Even now we can found many damaged palace of that time which have a cultural and historical,archeaological significance. It can be best place for the study and research of the Tamang history.

Timal is a non-tourist area,less crowded trekking trail in hilly region, but a very splendid one. The village altitude begins at 600m on the Sunkoshi riverbank and rise high up around 2000m.at the top of the Chapakhori hill and Narayansthan hill(Timal hill). The Tamang is a major ethnic hill tribe of Nepal. According to Village development committee figure, there are 85% Tamang, 5%Brahmin, 2.5%Magar and 2.5%mixed people. so cultural diversity and harmony can be observed .Not only that we can view some highest peaks of the world.The climate is better all over the year. It is best for those who likes to have the pleasure of High mountain peaks from low level.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m) and transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and trek preparation
Day 03: Kathmandu –Dolalghat (600m)-Thulo Parsel Besi (600m) 6 hours.
Day 04: Thuloparselbesi-Thulo Parsel Village(950m) 3 hours walk
Day 05: Thulo Parsel Village- Chapakhori (1833m) -Narayansthan ( 2250m) 5hours walk
Day 06: Narayansthan- Bakunde Besi (600m) 5hours walk
Day 07: Bakundebesi- Namobuddha(1,698m) 4 hours walk
Day 08: Namo Buddha- Panauti (1334m) – Dhulikhel (1,225m) 3 hrs 30 minutes
Day 09: Dhulikhel- Kathmandu
Day 10: Final departure

Detail Itinerary

Day 01:  Arrival Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel
You will be welcomed by the boss of  company at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1300m).After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our company display board at the arrival gate. You will be transfer to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Later in the evening we will organize a “Welcome Dinner” at an excellent Touristic Restaurant where you will enjoy with a fine meal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Full day of sightseeing in the very famous capital, Kathmandu. We will be visiting of the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu Nepal.

Morning, we will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people. We begins to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants. We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together. We will make a stop at Tahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples. Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole.After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square. All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming. We will take lunch at the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view.

Afternoon, you will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets. Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world come. From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the sunset. We will come back hotel by bus. Evening: Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu –Dolalghat -Thuloparselbesi, 

Morning-After breakfast, we drive to Dolalghat(600m). It takes 2 and half hours to be there. During our journey to Dolalghat we can view beautiful historical city Bhaktapur, Banepa, Dhulikhel, Panchkhal and beautiful forests containing diverse flora and faunas. We manage necessary materials for the trek, as well as our crew member for the management of raft board.

Lunch at Dolalghat.

We will have a delicious lunch at Dolalghat containing local Restaurant with natural fish. Peoples from various parts of country come here for local fish.

Afternoon-we enjoy the travel by rafting in Sunkoshi river. it takes 3 hours 30 minutes hours to reach Thulo Parsel Besi. That will be adventurous and pleasurable journey. The bank of river and hill is covered with green forests containing various types of trees such as pine. The fresh air and sonorous sounds of pine trees makes to feel us reaching in heaven. We can interact local inhabitants of the village and can observe different life style contrasting to modern European lifestyle. Sunkoshi River may be best spot for swimmer. There are suitable spots for swimming for professional swimmer as well as beginners. Finally we reach to Thulo Parsel Besi(600m).

We can stay at river bank at night that will be different experience in life.

Day 04: Thuloparselbesi-Thulo Parsel Village 

Morning-After breakfast we start our trek to Thulo Parsel (950m). We climb on foot to Thulo Parsel through ridges of Thulo Parsel hill viewing Sunkoshi River, typical villages of hilly areas and forests. It’s about 3 hours walking.

Lunch at Thulo Parsel.

Afternoon-Whole day visit in the village and interact with local people exploring the culture, tradition, temples monasteries and so on.

Overnight stay at Thulo Parsel.

Day 05: Thulo Parsel Village- Chapakhori – Narayansthan 

The day begins with a walk from 3 hours to climb the hills of Thulo Parsel, and achieve Chapakhori (1833m). We can begin to distinguish the rows of hills of Nepal, from the Himalayas to the west and the Mahabharat and the Sunkoshi River. We go around the small stupa Lamkhor Chhap. We cross a narrow path a forest of pine, rhododendron, mosses and ferns. Perhaps the opportunity to learn the game of ChalBhag ….

Chapakhori lunch.

In the afternoon we walk over towards Narayansthan 2:00hrs (2250m), through the forest, hills, and monasteries that reflects the arts and culture of local people. We pass a place that, according to local tradition, is the “navel” of the Sun Koshi River. We enter a Buddhist monastery and then rises a little further Narayan temple, which is very famous among Hindu believers. At the entrance of Narayanstanstand three stupas: we can also see religious tolerance prevailing among the peoples of different cultures.

Overnight in lodge and Narayansthan with the pleasure of admiring the sunset with a wide panoramic view.

Day 06: Narayansthan- Bakunde Besi 

In the morning we marvel to walk while contemplating the chain of “hills” of Mahabharat on our left, andthe Himalayan range on our right: what escort! In the village of Yangpel, we visit the cave of GuruRinpoche meditated here that an ascetic for some years. Then we move towards Kote Timal (1370 m),where we can discover the location of the former palace of ancient kings Tamang. We go through multiple villages composed of multiple ethnic groups such as Tamang, the Bramhin, the Newar, Magar etc.. Lunchin the village of Kothimal after 3:30 walk.

In the afternoon we descend to reach Bhakunde Besi (600m) from 2:30 to walk. We discover the fertile valley of Bhakunde Besi, which develops as a new city. We can see the people involved in traditional agriculture and agrarian performing multiple activities.

Night at Bhakunde Besi in lodge or hotel.

Day 07: Bakunde Besi- Namo Buddha 
After breakfast, crossing a brickworks in operation (with its long plume of smoke), we climb by a wide track to the village of Dhapcha. Always pine forests and rhododendrons, and wonderful views of the high peaks, including the visitor never tires, so this panorama is sublime. We lunch at 2:30 Dhapcha afterhiking.

The afternoon is spent on arrival at Namo Buddha after 1:30 walk. This is the homeland of thebodhisattvas. We then visit the beautiful monasteries of Namo Buddha, which is the site of a very important pilgrimage for Buddhists. It is indeed here that the future Buddha saved a tiger of hunger by giving her blood and flesh. Also many monasteries are built. We can have the pleasure to attend evening prayers by lamas and to learn about meditation. Dinner with the monks.

Day 08: Namo Buddha-Panauti- Dhulikhel

We walk toward Panauti (1334m) in 2:30. This is an ancient Newar town. We observe the lifestyles of the people, their art and architecture characteristic. We contemplate, randomly many narrow streets, beautiful full color of many Hindu temples and patis. Lunch at Panauti.

In the afternoon, we take the bus to Dhulikhel (1620m). The journey takes one hour.

In the evening, we are pleased to witness the spectacle of the setting sun with a wide panoramic view.Overnight in Dhulikhel lodge.

Day 09: Dhulikhel- Kathmandu

Pleasure of attending the sunrise between a cup of tea! Then return to Kathmandu by bus (1h00 drive).Khatmandu lunch.

In the afternoon, free time for shopping in search of different memories for your family and friends ataround Thamel.

In the evening, we perform a farewell dinner with the members of this hike.

Day 10: last day of yours trip in Nepal

It’s time to enjoy a bit of Kathmandu and the ultimate view of the great mountains! Free time inKathmandu and transfer to the airport two hours before departure of your flight home, after a finalgoodbye! On the way back, you’ll have time to plan a new adventure in Nepal, that country so magical!

Note: Participants should bring 4 copies of passport size photos for identity the visa on arrival and it allows the trek.All participants must provide a personal or group certificate of insurance for rescue helicopter accident in our mountain and call to your country for this insurance.If the insurance would not cover for rescue helicopter, the participants must written undertaking to cover the costs of rescue and repatriation helicopter.
