Phakhel Village Culture Trek (7 Days)
This trek programs offer you, tailor made treks on any dates to suit you and GROUP TREKS. The south of Kathmandu through the middle hills of Nepal and down to Tarai (Level). Traveling on foot is only way to see much of Nepal, firstly the mountains, but also and perhaps more importantly the people and their way of life. This trek gives you a special chance to go to an area not visited by other trek companies. You go slowly with many stops to look; meet the local people make you dream come true. The walking is not hard but some of the Paths are rough so good boots are best.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be welcomed by the boss of company at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport (1,300m).After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with ours company display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Later in the evening we will organize a “Welcome Dinner” at an excellent tourist Restaurant where you will enjoy with a fine meal.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing
Full day of sightseeing in the very famous capital, Kathmandu.
We will be visiting 2 of the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu.
Morning
We will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people.
We begin to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants.
We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together.
We will make a stop at Thahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples.Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole.After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square.All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming.
We will take lunch at the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view .
Afternoon.
You will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets.Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world come.From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the sunset.We will come back hotel by bus.
Evening
Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members.Dinner at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Pharping – Phakhel
After breakfast, 45 minute Scenic drive by private car small Newari town Pharping and then visit Monastery above Pharping. After Monastery visit commence trek along local Newari Village Pulchok and ascend to Humaney Deurali (2000m.) excellent view of Ganesh Himal (7102m), Langtang (7234m), Shisha Pangma (8013m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Phurbi Ghyachu (6637m), Chhoba Bhamare (5970m), Gauri Shankher (7134m), Melungtse (7181m) Himalayas and over looking valley views. Continue trek to Purandi along Tamang settlement their country life style and tradition. Overnight stay at Phakhel.
Day 04: Village Excursion day
First of all in the morning bed tea will served followed by Breakfast and pack Lunch for the day. After Breakfast walk to the hills top along the forest chances to see many colorful Birds, Butterflies and animals of the area. Evergreen forest and mixed type of trees of the area with many medicinal herb. This area offers wide range of Snow clad Himalayas in the North… Descend to the village and Explore local School and discover their culture and life style. Overnight stay at Phakhel.
Day 05: Purandi – Pharping – Kathmandu
Today as usual: serve the bed tea and follow by Breakfast. After Breakfast return journey to Pharping following the main trail and visit Dakshin Kali the Hindu temple where many Chicken and Goats are sacrificed every Tuesday and Saturday. After visiting the temple drive to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 06: Mountain Flight and Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Morning
Mountain Flight over the Himalayas including Sagarmatha (Everest),it will takes one hour only. The early morning mountain flight drops us at Kathmandu and drive to hotel after take rest, we will begins to sightseeing another world heritages site in Kathmandu. We will take you to visit Pashupatinath; this temple lies in world heritage sites, which is very famous among Hindu all over the world. One can view the ritually burning of death body in Hindu culture. After Pashupatinath, we will walk for another world heritage site. The name is Boudhanath. During this walkway we can see different lifestyle and developing city.30 minutes after finally we arrived Boudhanath. This is also another world heritage sites in Kathmandu, Where one can see the Tibetan settlement and their culture, It is being home for thousands of Tibetan refugees. Millions of Buddhist people visit this place every year.
Lunch at Boudhanath with view of Buddha Stupa, you will be gaze by the Buddha eyes all the time. You will have heavenly environment.
Afternoon
Its quiet relax able time for you before your last destination. so, it is time for your shopping different souvenirs for your family and friends in Boudhanath, also come back in Thamel and you can visit other local market.
Evening, we will provide “farewell dinner” with our crew members. Overnight stay at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 07: Departure
You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. You will be transferred to the Airport before 2 hours of flight with nice farewell. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
