Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek : Rolwaling to Khumbu (18 Days)

Tashi Lapcha Pass, region of the Rolwaling valley (Gauri Shankar) is situated in west of Everest massif, south of Tibet , east of Dorje Lakpa and Langtang Himal and in the lap of Gauri shankar. The latitude goes from Gauri Shankar is considered as standard time of Nepal. Even banned for few years due to high risk of explode Tsho-Rolpa lake cause by glacier melting has made appropriate atmosphere of isolation and high mountains. The small settlement of villages, which accessed steep path of dizzying suspension bridge and gorges are characteristic of this valley inhabitant by Sherpas and Tamangs. Tashi Lapcha pass is Predominantly most adventurous because of frequent ice fall on its west part and route through the ice fall is technically difficult due to movement of pristine glacier. For the glacier and the pass requires skill of the mountain guide (Which provide by the agency) Tashi lapcha is border of Rolwaling and Everest (Khumbu) region which offer good combination of religious and cultural diversities, flora and fauna, heart of mountain and panoramic view of greater Himalayas such as Pachharma peak, Ramdung Peak and range of Everest in the east and Dorje Lakpa and range of Langtang in west..

Details Itinerary

Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
You will be welcomed by the representative of  our company at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1300m). after completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our company display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Later in the evening we will organize a “Welcome Dinner”at an excellent tourist Restaurant where you will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program along with a fine meal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Full day of sightseeing in the very famous capital, Kathmandu. We will be visiting of the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu Nepal.
Morning, we will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people.We begins to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants.
We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together.
We will make a stop at Thahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples.Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole.After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square.All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming.
We will take lunch at Durbar Square in the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view.
Afternoon, you will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets.Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world come.From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the sunset. We will come back hotel by bus.
Evening: Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03. Kathmandu Singuti (950m) 7-8 hrs.
Today you will be driven from Kathmandu to Dolakha(Singuti) along the Ariniko Highway getting across Lamosangu and you will arrive at Charikot – the district headquarter of Dolakha. Across the way you can catch glimpses of several beautiful villages, forests, mountain views, fine terraced landscapes and many the like natural attractions. You will be reached in evening and managed to stay overnight at a camp at Singuti village.

Day 04. Singuti – Jagat (1440m) 6 hrs.
This day your trek at some stage in normal flat land beside the river bank passing all the way through terraced rice fields. There are small villages approach, which are combination by mixed community. All the times, you cross the jungles covered by orchid, few rhododendron trees and wild vegetation. Now you cross a suspension bridge to reach Jagat, a small town resided by people of mixed culture.

Day 05. Jagat – Simi Gaon (2020m) 7 hrs.
The initial part of your trails follows generally flat path, and then it ascends and descends through the jungle. At several places, you pass though numerous villages getting across many suspension bridges. Steeply climb up to Simi Gaon, a beautiful village populated in synchronization by Hindus and Buddhists. Stay overnight at camp after 7 hours of walking.

Day 06. Simi Gaon – Daldung La (3976m)
On the track you will come across the Sherpa villages. The uphill trek is rich in different varieties of plants including Rhododendron trees. After going uphill pathway you will now come across rising and falling paths while enjoying the scenic beauty of the place. If it happens to be a season, you will witness the Yak Naka – a temporary Yak shed especially for the preparation of cheese and butter. Stay overnight at camp after 6 hours of trekking.

Day 07. Daldung La – Beding (3690m)
The trek now ascends uphill through different varieties of plants and Rhododendron trees. You trek over the suspension bridges over the deep gorges in few places making the trek even more enchanting. Eventually you will reach Beding, which is a big Sherpa village with stone walls and wooden roofs weighted down with stones and having a couple of monasteries too. Form here can be observed a magnificent mountain views will give peace and delight to your eyes. Today trek stretches for 7hrs of walking.

Day 08. Rest day for acclimatization
You can hike in and around for proper acclimatization and have panoramic views of mountains like Mt. Gauri Shanker, Tibetan mountains of the Tibetan boarder etc. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 09. Beding – Na Gaon (4180m)
This day you can explore the upper slopes of the valley for the views of Snow Partridge or visit to the nearby glacier lake. The trek path slightly ascends along the riverbank. The place is an open path with fresh air and the charming gurgling of the river. You can have the panoramic view of the mountains as the trek moves forward. You will also come across the Sherpa village having their own ethnic specialties. Today’s trek is of 4 hours.

Day 10. Na Gaon – Tsho Rolpa Lake (4540m)
You will be trekking through the flat and gradually elevated path. You will be able to witness the beautiful Natural Lake filled with chilling water of the glaciers. The views of Menlung and Tibetan Side Mountains add glory to your trek. Stay overnight at camp. Today’s trek stretches for 6hrs.

Day 11. Tsho Rolpa – Trakardng Glacier (4800m)
Early in the morning you will walk through the glaciers throughout the day and will be able to experience the original enchanting beauties that would add extra dimensions into your trial. Stay overnight at camp. This day trek stretches for 5 hours.

Day 12. Trakardng Glacier – Tashi Lapcha Phedi (5200m)
The trail will still be ascending through some rock climbing and a gradual walk on the glacier. You will camp at Tashi Lapcha Phedi Today’s trek is gently walking of 3hours.

Day 13. Tashi Lapcha Phedi – Pachherma Base Camp (4200m)
You will walk on the snowy path of the Tashi Lapcha Phedi for climbing on the Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m) through Tashi Cape to the base of Pachherma peak. This is one of the three high passes of the Everest region, which demands extra adventure.
The trial will completely be over the snow straight up and then steep down towards Tashi Cape. Stay overnight Pachherma Base Camp finding you on the other side of mountain. Today’s trek demands 7 hours of effortful walking.

Day 14. Pachherma Base Camp – Thame (3820m)
Early in the morning you will trek down to Thame. Today you will be experiencing a bit easier glacier walking. This trail gradually descends towards Thyomgbo and you will have an added experience of easier trail and will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of the environment. Stay overnight at camp after 5 hours of walking.

Day 15. Thame – Namche Bazaar (3440m)
After breakfast trak start from Thame to Namche Bazaar (3440m).Today is a short walk and relaxing day. Many of the typical Mani walls and prayer wheels are spread on the trail to Namche, the Sherpa capital. We have plenty of time to explore the bustling local market and admire the beautiful vistas of Thamserku (6608 m), Everest (8848 m) and Lhotse (8511 m). it takes 4 hours walk. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 16. Namche Bazaar – Lukla (2800m)
After have a morning breakfast we descend through the forest and continue along the Dudh Koshi banks. A short climb finally arrive to Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 17.  Flight back to Kathmandu and sight seeing
Today, we fly back to Kathmandu after our adventure into the Himalayas. The early morning flight drops us at Kathmandu and drive to hotel after check in and rest, we will begins to sightseeing another world heritages site in Kathmandu. We will take you to visit Pashupatinath; this temple lies in world heritage sites, which is very famous among Hindu all over the world. One can view the ritually burning of death body in Hindu culture. After Pashupatinath, we will walk for another world heritage site. The name is Boudhanath. During this walkway we can see deferent lifestyle and developing city.30 minutes after finally we arrived Boudhanath. This is also another world heritage sites in Kathmandu, Where one can see the Tibetan settlement and their culture, It is being home for thousands of Tibetan refugees. Millions of Buddhist people visit this place every year.
Lunch at Boudhanathwith view of Buddha Stupa, you will be gaze by the Buddha eyes all the time. You will have heavenly environment.
Afternoon, its quiet relaxable time for you before your last destination. so, it  is  time for your shopping  different souvenirs for your family and friends in Boudhanath, also come back in Thamel and you can visit other  local market.
Evening, we will provide farewell dinner with our crew members.
Overnight stay at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 18:  Last day of Yours Trip
You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. You will be transferred to the Airport before 2 hours of flight with nice farewell. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

Trip Cost does not include:
* Nepal Visa fee (bring small denomination USD cash and two passport photographs)
* International airfare.
* Excess baggage charges.
* Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu(and also in the case of early return from the mountain than the scheduled itinerary).
* Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain(due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
* Travel and rescue insurance.
* Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, extra porters, bottled or boiled water, etc).
* Tips for guides and porters.

Note: All participants have to give a copy of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don’t cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Assemble Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.

In The trek the guide is allowed to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and the physical condition of participants. Each participant who stop his trek or make changes any form of program may not ask any money compensation to the agency.
