Royal Trek (9 Days)
The Royal Trek is one of the short trek follows a shrub like path along the foothills of Annapurna, north of the Pokhara valley. The Royal Trek is so-named because Prince Charles and his 90 person entourage had explored this route in the early eighties. This Royal Trek provides the opportunities for meaningful cultural experiences with the diverse mix of peoples and cultures that inhabit this region. The journey of Royal trek begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara passes through beautiful Gurung hamlets. During the trek, we are able to enjoy stunning views of the eloquently built hillside rice terraces, and the magnificent Annapurna range, Machapuchhre [fishtail] and the Langtang Mountain views. The trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City.
The Royal trekking trip is basically recommended for beginners who are restricted by time to trek longer. This Royal trek presents a true picture of uniqueness and allowing us the chance to capture the traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious practices and traditions have remained unchanged for thousands of years. Compared to other trekking areas in Annapurna region, Royal trekking route is less crowded, so you can get more close to nature, culture and lifestyle.
Important Note and Optional Activities
Your safety is of paramount concern whilst traveling with Nepal Assemble Treks. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, as this is adventure travel in remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions, health condition of a member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft]
Day 02 : Kathmandu sightseeing and Trek Preparation.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (823m)

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft]
You will be welcomed by the representative of company at Tribhuvan International Airport .After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our representative with ours company display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu sightseeing.
Full day of sightseeing in the very famous capital, Kathmandu.We will be visit the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu.
Morning:
We will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people.We begin to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants.
We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together.
We will make a stop at Thahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples.Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole.After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square.
All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming.We will take lunch at the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view .
Afternoon.
You will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets.Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world.
From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the sunset.We will come back hotel by bus.
Evening: Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (823m)
Early morning after breakfast, we take a tourist bus and Drive to Pokhara. It takes six hours. If you are lucky and get to right side of the bus, you can view best views of green mountains and villages. Upon reaching the enchanting city of Pokhara which offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others, we check in to the hotel. Pokhara
numerous lakes, known as ‘Tal’ in Nepali, offer fishing, boating and swimming. Hanging around exploring the Lakeside city in the evening is enjoyable. Overnight in hotel in Pokhara.
Day 04: Pokhara to Kalikasthan (1,370m)
Today, after breakfast we drive to Bijayapur Khola to begin our trek. It takes one hour. Initially we start our walk for about an hour through flat paddy fields and cross the river. After crossing the river the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch will be served midway through the climb. After arriving at Kalikasthan, It takes totally five hours walk. We rest for some time and after that explore the surrounding areas and overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 05: Kalikasthan to Syaklung (1,730m)
After breakfast, we start walking through the villages. We walk along the ridge of the mountain which offers good views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. Today, we can explore many villages, its locals and the rhododendron forests. It takes six hours walk. Overnight at Syaklung in local guesthouse.
Day 06: Syaklung to Chisapani (1550m)
This morning have a breakfast after, Walking through the Gurung village gives an opportunity to watch the local villagers’ lifestyle. We move ahead playing game of hide and seek with the rhododendron and Sal trees. Half way through the walk there is a 400m descent, then a 600m ascent to arrive at Chisapani. This is the best view point at which to see the Himalayan Panorama. You will see Dhaulagiri to the west of Annapurna. It takes Five hours walk. Overnight in guesthouse.
Day 07: Chisapani to Pokhara
After breakfast, Today we walk half way down the hill to Rupatal and climb about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda. Walk 15 minutes down to Begnas Tal for an hour boating to catch the transfer to Pokhara and on arrival at hotel check in and rest of the time explore the lake side and overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Early morning after a breakfast, we take a tourist bus to get back to Kathmandu. It takes six hours. Watching scenic countryside en route makes our long bus journey interesting. On arrival at Kathmandu, your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day can be spent at leisure resting or perhaps catching up with on some last minute shopping or exploring any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu. In the evening, celebration “Farewell Dinner” together. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 09: Farewell Friend
You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos.You will be transferred to the Airport before 2 hours of flight with nice farewell. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

All the transports (go/back on the places of trek and during the trek). Accompanied by a professional Guide and one porter for 2 persons to carry your bags (maximum 20 kg for 2 persons). TREK IN TENT. Trekking team with Professional English speaking guide, cook and porters. Lodging under tent, meals prepared by the cook. IN KATHMANDU: Welcome at the airport, transfer hotel/airport. Comfortable hotel (near heart of Thamel) with breakfast, rooms with double bed/shower, Trekking permit. Reconfirmation of your return plane ticket. IN POKHARA: Standard hotel near of lake.
PRICE NOT INCLUDING :
Lunch and Dinner at Kathmandu and Pokhara (except breakfast), drinks during all stay or trek, (except teas or coffee in breakfast). Entrances fee of monuments, cities and museums, your insurance, Nepalese visa (40 dollars cash) and all tax airports in Nepal.
Note: All participants have to give a copy of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don’t cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Assemble Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
In The trek the guide is allowed to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and the physical condition of participants. Each participant who stop his trek or make change any form of program may not ask any money compensation to the agency.
