Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek are amazing adventure combines the diversity of spectacular views of the Himalayas with a vast number of exciting ethnic encounters. The highlights of Langtang Circuit trek are numerous however the main areas of interest are the rhododendron and bamboo forests with an abundance of wildlife, majestic waterfalls flowing over mammoth boulders, a chance to bathe in soothing hot springs, magnificent views of the snow covered white giant Langtang Lirung (7,200m), Visiting the holy lakes of Gosainkund.

Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu Trek begin in the ancient city of Kathmandu; from where you will board a bus to Syabrubesi; the starting point of your trek. This is an interesting village on the banks of the Bhote Kosi River. The trail gains elevation as you make your way along the Langtang Khola, first through forests of oak and rhododendron and then bamboo forests on the higher reaches of the trail. Traveling through Langtang (3,430m), you will reach the Langtang valley and the friendly Sherpa village of Kyanjing Gompa (3,870m). In Kyanjing Gompa you will experience the spiritual lifestyle of dedicated Buddhist monks who perform their rituals in a beautiful Monastery dating back to circa 1300 A.D. Early in the morning you will ascend Tserko Ri (5,000m) for tremendous view of the Langtang Lirung (7,200m) range. A short hike will also be taken to a magnificent glacial moraine (4,300m), which can be climbed depending on the time factor and offers more spectacular views of Langtang Lirung and the foot of one of its major glaciers. There will also be the opportunity of visiting a traditional cheese factory, where the produce is manufactured by hand. Once in Chadan Bari (3,330m), having traveled through Lama Hotel, you can relish magnificent views of the towering snow-covered Ganesh Himal (7,600m) and Langtang -II (7,227m) peaks. If lucky you might be able to spot the shy Red Panda that inhabits the Langtang region. Moving on to Gosainkund, watch the sun rise over a multitude of glistening Lakes of this sacred pilgrimage site. It is believed that Lord Shiva created the holy lake with his trident. After Laurebinayak pass (4,609m) you will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries around the delightful villages of Tarke Gyang and Sermathang (2,621m), before heading back to Kathmandu. Detail Itinerary

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu [1,350m)

You will be welcomed by the boss of  company at Tribhuvan International Airport .After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our company display board at the arrival gate. You will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Later in the evening we will organize a “Welcome Dinner” at an excellent Tourist Restaurant where you will enjoy with a fine meal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:  Kathmandu sightseeing and Trek preparation.

We will be visiting  of the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu.

Morning, we will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people. We begin to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants. We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together. We will make a stop at Thahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples. Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole. After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square. All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming.

We will take lunch at the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view.

Afternoon, You will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets. Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world come. From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the Sunset. We will come back hotel by bus. Evening: Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03:  Kathmandu-Syabrubesi.

After breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,440m). Today, you will start early bus journey to Syabrubesi; the starting point of the trek. Behind Trisuli Bazaar the road is tricky because of the grubby road. During the travel you will pass through many small villages on the way will be fascinating you with snippets. It takes eight hours drive.  Overnight in Syabrubesi.

Day 04:  Syabrubesi-Lama Hotel.

After morning breakfast trek begin from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,470m). Today, crossing through the suspension bridge and heading precipitously along a stream. The River you are following is mostly the Langtang River. You can enjoy the walk going through oak, rhododendron and bamboo forests. There is also a variety of wildlife in these forests: yellow-throated martens, wild boars, langur monkeys, red pandas and Himalayan black bears. It takes six hours walk. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 05:  Lama Hotel- Langtang.

After having breakfast trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang (3,430m). Today, you will continue your trip to your next destination. You are starting your trip descending towards a steep forest slope to the Langtang River. You cross a bridge and head up with a winding path. The trail descends into a valley to cross a stream and climbs past several water-driven mills and prayer wheels to the large settlement of Langtang . It takes six hours walk. Overnight in Langtang.

Day 06:  Langtang – Kyanjin Gompa.

After breakfast trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m). Today, you pass through the tiny village, stone-built houses and climb to a Chorten and passed a huge Mani along a gentle path of a hill. The valley relocates to a U-shaped one as you enter into a level of riverbed. Today is short walking; allowing time to acclimatize and explore the surrounding. This place is famous for cheese and curd. It takes four hours walk. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

 

Day 07:  Rest day in Kyanjin Gompa.

Today, Kyanjin RI (4,800m) and Tserko RI (5,000m) are the good viewpoints in the area that you can climb. After the breakfast visit Tserko RI (5000m) for spectacular view of the langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge lirung Glacier. Back to guest house for Lunch having short rest and walk around the Kyanjing valley with guide. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.

 

Day 08:  Kyanjin Gompa- Lama Hotel.

After having breakfast trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,470m).Today you retract to Lama Hotel. All the way downhill but you will see fantastic views of towering mountain what you have missed on the way up. Take more time and suggested you to walk very slow. It takes five hours walk. Overnight in Lama Hotel

 

Day 09:  Lama Hotel – Thulo Syabru.

Morning having breakfast after trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m). Today, first trail decent to river, cross the river and ascend to Thulo Syabru. You will see the fascinating view of Langtang Himal and more. On the way of your trek you will pass through pine and Junieerps forests. It takes six hours walk. Overnight in Thulo Syabru.

Day 10:  Thulo Syabru- Shing Gompa.

After breakfast trek from Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa (3,330m). Today, you take the broad trail climbing up to Dimsa village and the trial continues less steeply, through rhododendron, hemlock and Oak forests to Shin gomba. On the way of your trek you will see fantastic views of Langtang Himal and langtang valley. Shin gomba is another popular place for Cheese. It takes four hours walk. Overnight in Shing Gompa.

Day 11:  Shing gomba- Gosainkunda.

After having breakfast trek from Shin Gompa to Gosainkunda (4,460m).Today, the trail ascends smoothly through rhododendron covered point to the top of the rim and through a forested area. The area in-between Shin gomba and Laurebina Yak is a sanctuary for the red panda, an endangered species that the Nepalese call cat bear. You return to the ridge path and climb a wider route through alpine country to arrive at a Gosainkunda. It takes five hours walk. Overnight in Gosainkund

Day 12:  Gosainkunda- Gopte.

After breakfast trek from Gosainkunda to Gopte (3,440m).Today is a bit challenge day; the trail is climb, rough and crosses moraines. Passing three more small lakes, the trail ascend and cross Laurebina La (4,609m) after the pass, the path down to Phedi and you continue walk up and down throughout crossing a rocky hill with pine, rhododendron trees. it takes seven hours walk. Overnight in Gopte.

Day 13:  Gopte- Melamchigaon

After breakfast trek from Gopte to Melamchigaon (2,560m).You slide down through a forested area and climb through a dry river-bed to arrive at a Kharka that is surrounded by rhododendron forest. You climb through the forest to arrive at the village of Thare Pati. Climbing the ridge directly above the village gives you a marvelous view of the Jugal area. Cross the village and enter a forested area, again descending to Melamchi River followed by yet again climbing to the Melamchigaon. It takes six hours walk. Overnight at Melamchigaon.

Day 14:  Melamchigaon – Tarke Gyang

After breakfast trek from Melamchigaon to Tarke Gyang (2610m). Today, the day you enter a cultural destination it call Helambu Region, walk up to Tarke Gyang where you can enjoy with Sherpa culture with traditional village and monasteries. The stone houses are close together with narrow alleyways separating them. It takes six hours walk. Overnight in Tarke Gyang.

Day 15:  Tarke Gyang- Sermathang.

After having breakfast trek from Tarke Gyang to Sermathang (2610m). Today, you will cross small forest with the view of beautiful village of Helembu region. The trail makes a sweep around the wide valley end between Parachin and the pretty Sharpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village practice Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the same as the national religion of Bhutan. It takes five hours walk. Overnight in Sermathang.

Day 16:  Sermathang- Melamchipul Bazaar -Kathmandu

Today after breakfast Short walk down to Malamchipul Bazaar with many Sherpa village, it takes three hours walk and catch Bus transport to Katmandu, it takes five hours drive. After check in yours hotel, it is time for yours shopping(souvenir). Evening, Nepal Assemble Trekking will host a farewell dinner. Congratulations on the completion of your trek! Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 17:  Final departure to your country.

We are saying good bye to the mountains as journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organize the photos If you have more time. You ll be transferred to the Airport before 2 hours of flight with nice farewell. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

Tips for guides and porters.

Note: All participants have to give a copy of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don’t cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Assemble Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.

In The trek the guide is allowed to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and the physical condition of participants. Each participant who stop his trek or make changes any form of program may not ask any money compensation to the agency.
