Makalu Base Camp Trek (23 Days)
The trek to base camp of Makalu (8475m), the fifth highest peak in the world is a wonderful hike, still intact and little frequented by walkers, even if it is located very close to the Everest region . Barun Valley is part of a huge international protected area under an agreement signed between the governments of Nepal and China: it includes a National Park 216 km ² and a conservation area 77 km ².
Makalu trekking in the region allows you to be dazzled by the Makalu Barun National Park, by the misty plains of Tumlingtar, one of the least popular of Nepal, by the snowy heights of Makalu base camp (5000m). The views of the south face of Makalu, Everest and Lhotse engrave royal and fantastic memories in your memory.
